MST3 Mark Pfrenger, Halifax, Nova Scotia-

Mark was aboard from Spring of 1970 and departed upon discharge in early 1971. This shot was taken of Mark at the Citadel in Halifax, which was a favorite liberty port for Sebago Sailors.

MST3 Pfrenger advanced to PO2 before discharge and was one known to have probably the driest sense of humor aboard the ship, even though we nearly lost him during while rigging the Oceanographic Platform in during a storm. The ship was hit on the starboard side with heavy seas and broke Mark's safety line and washed him from the platform between one of the stanchions and the STD Cabinet. Frankly, he did a fine impression of "Oscar"!
