An Endless Job -
Keeping the ship presentable and orderly was the job of a couple dozen men, mostly SA's and SN's that were new both to the Sebago and the Coast Guard. They were supervised and led by Boatswain Mates from E-4 up through CWO. The old salts enjoyed their time underway and did their best to keep their department working with a minimum of fuss. This wasn't always easy and at times it was difficult to find a smile pass between the senior men and the younger sailors.
The Sebago sailors always found a way to get the job done and their stories reflect that 'can do' attitude of a good ship. Each photo you see here has a story behind it. Click on the photo to read what that particular Coastie writes about his time on Sebago - and look at the photos he has to share.
If you have a story or a few photos to share please send them to RM2 Wonnacott. Allow a few days for the materials to be formatted into a page presentation.
