Squadron Three - Operation Market Time

In 1969 the Cutter SEBAGO sailed from Pensacola, through the Panama Canal, and westward in the Pacific Ocean to patrol the coast of VietNam. The 255's that were built for combat near the end of WW II finally got to prove their worth as gunfire support platforms. Although these ships were dramatically altered in their combat configuration, and the crew was just half of the original wartime compliment, they proved useful to the mission and the skills of their crews met and exceeded expectations.

As time permits the photo albums and stories from the Squadron Three crew will be linked to this page.
